Introduction

Modern libraries are rapidly embracing API Integration, Digital Library Platforms, Cloud Computing, Smart Library Systems, Library Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Metadata Management, Open Access Technologies, and Digital Transformation to improve access to information and streamline library services. APIs enable seamless communication between Integrated Library Systems (ILS), discovery platforms, digital repositories, learning management systems, research databases, authentication services, and third-party applications. Effective API integration enhances interoperability, improves user experiences, automates workflows, and supports real-time data exchange across multiple information platforms.

API Integration for Libraries Training Course equips participants with practical knowledge and technical skills to design, implement, secure, monitor, and optimize APIs within modern library ecosystems. Participants will explore REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth Authentication, API Security, Cloud Integration, API Documentation, OpenAPI Standards, Digital Repository Integration, and emerging technologies that enhance digital library services. Through practical exercises and global case studies, learners will gain the competencies required to build connected, intelligent, and future-ready library environments.
