Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) in Humanitarian Settings Training Course

Introduction

Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) has emerged as one of the most powerful tools in humanitarian aid, enabling crisis-affected populations to exercise choice, dignity, and flexibility in meeting their needs. By providing people with cash or vouchers instead of in-kind aid, humanitarian organizations can empower beneficiaries, stimulate local markets, and ensure aid delivery is more efficient and impactful. Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) in Humanitarian Settings Training Course has been designed to strengthen the skills and knowledge of humanitarian workers, development practitioners, and policymakers who want to integrate cash-based interventions, digital payments, and market-based programming into their emergency response strategies.

In an era where humanitarian contexts are becoming increasingly complex, this course equips participants with the competencies to design, implement, monitor, and evaluate Cash Transfer Programming (CTP), ensuring alignment with global standards such as the Cash Learning Partnership (CaLP) and the Sphere Standards. With practical case studies, real-world simulations, and expert facilitation, learners will gain hands-on experience in delivering scalable and context-sensitive CVA interventions that support resilience, enhance livelihoods, and promote accountability in humanitarian action.
