Introduction

Companion Animal Population Control (CAPC) is a critical field in modern veterinary science and animal welfare management. With the global rise in stray dog and cat populations, understanding humane population management strategies is more important than ever. Companion Animal Population Control Training Course equips participants with evidence-based techniques, ethical sterilization practices, and innovative community engagement strategies to reduce overpopulation, prevent zoonotic diseases, and promote responsible pet ownership. Participants will gain hands-on experience in surgical and non-surgical population control methods, making them capable of implementing sustainable programs in diverse environments.

The course emphasizes the integration of global best practices, including One Health approaches, data-driven decision-making, and community education campaigns. Using interactive modules, case studies, and field simulations, participants will develop practical skills in population assessment, welfare auditing, and advocacy for policy development. By the end of the program, trainees will be prepared to address companion animal population challenges effectively, ensuring a balance between animal welfare, public health, and environmental sustainability.
