Introduction

Libraries are rapidly transforming into digitally connected knowledge hubs that manage online catalogs, cloud-based services, digital archives, research databases, mobile applications, e-learning platforms, and patron information systems. This transformation has increased exposure to cyber threats such as ransomware, phishing, malware, insider threats, identity theft, data breaches, unauthorized access, and network attacks. Cybersecurity has become a strategic priority for libraries seeking to safeguard intellectual property, confidential patron records, institutional reputation, digital collections, and operational continuity while ensuring compliance with international cybersecurity standards and privacy regulations.

Cybersecurity for Libraries Training Course equips participants with practical knowledge, modern cybersecurity frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, cyber resilience strategies, threat intelligence, incident response planning, cloud security practices, artificial intelligence security applications, data protection techniques, and governance best practices. Through practical case studies, participants will develop the skills required to strengthen cybersecurity posture, improve digital trust, enhance regulatory compliance, and protect library information assets against evolving cyber threats.
