Introduction

The ESG Reporting in Mining Training Course is designed to equip mining professionals with advanced competencies in ESG disclosure, sustainability reporting frameworks, and integrated risk management strategies aligned with global standards. As the mining sector faces increasing pressure from investors, regulators, and communities, robust ESG reporting has become a critical driver of social license to operate, capital access, and long-term operational resilience. This course emphasizes practical implementation of carbon accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions), biodiversity impact assessment, tailings dam safety reporting, and human rights due diligence in mining supply chains.

Participants will gain hands-on expertise in ESG data management systems, materiality assessments, climate risk disclosures, decarbonization pathways, and responsible mining practices. The program integrates real-world mining case studies, digital reporting tools, and global best practices to enable participants to produce high-quality sustainability reports, integrated annual reports, and ESG dashboards. By the end of the training, learners will be able to align mining operations with Net Zero targets, circular economy principles, stakeholder capitalism expectations, and global ESG investment benchmarks, ensuring compliance and competitiveness in a rapidly evolving extractive industry landscape.
