Introduction

Gender equality is a critical determinant in achieving sustainable food security and nutrition globally. Women and marginalized groups often play central roles in agricultural production, food processing, and household nutrition, yet face systemic barriers limiting their access to resources, decision-making, and economic opportunities. Gender and Food Security Training Course addresses these disparities by equipping participants with practical knowledge, gender-responsive strategies, and policy insights to enhance food security outcomes, strengthen community resilience, and promote equitable access to resources.

This course leverages evidence-based approaches, interactive case studies, and participatory learning to explore the intersections of gender, agriculture, nutrition, and climate resilience. Participants will gain the tools to design, implement, and monitor gender-sensitive interventions in food systems, ensuring inclusive and sustainable practices. By integrating gender analysis into food security planning, this program empowers leaders, practitioners, and policymakers to transform food systems that are equitable, resilient, and adaptive to emerging global challenges.
