Introduction

Global health financing is a critical pillar in achieving universal health coverage (UHC), strengthening health systems, and ensuring equitable access to essential health services worldwide. Global Health Financing Training Course is designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge of health economics, sustainable health financing models, donor funding mechanisms, and innovative resource mobilization strategies. It responds to the growing global demand for skilled professionals who can navigate complex financing landscapes shaped by SDG 3, universal health coverage reforms, and global donor transitions.

In an era of rising healthcare costs, climate-related health burdens, pandemics, and shrinking donor aid, countries must adopt resilient, efficient, and data-driven health financing systems. This course provides practical insights into strategic health purchasing, results-based financing, insurance schemes, public financial management (PFM), and equity-focused budgeting. Participants will gain the ability to design, evaluate, and optimize financing systems that improve health outcomes while ensuring financial protection for vulnerable populations.
