Introduction

Internal displacement in conflict zones represents one of the most urgent humanitarian, governance, and development challenges globally. Armed conflict, political instability, environmental stressors, and human rights violations continue to force millions of people to flee their homes while remaining within national borders. Internal Displacement in Conflict Zones Training Course provides participants with a comprehensive, data-driven, and policy-oriented understanding of internal displacement dynamics, emphasizing protection frameworks, humanitarian coordination, durable solutions, early warning systems, and evidence-based response strategies. The course integrates international humanitarian law, human rights standards, disaster risk reduction, and conflict sensitivity to strengthen institutional capacity and operational effectiveness in fragile and conflict-affected settings.

Participants will develop advanced skills in displacement assessment, vulnerability mapping, protection programming, camp and settlement management, livelihoods recovery, psychosocial support, and post-conflict stabilization. Through practical tools, regional case studies, and scenario-based simulations, learners will gain competencies in designing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating displacement responses that are inclusive, sustainable, and aligned with global frameworks such as the Guiding Principles on Internal Displacement, the Global Compact on Refugees, and the Sustainable Development Goals. This course is ideal for professionals seeking to enhance humanitarian leadership, policy formulation, resilience-building, and conflict-sensitive development planning.
