Introduction

The global financial industry is undergoing a significant transformation with the adoption of ISO 20022, the universal financial messaging standard that enables digital payments, real-time payments, financial interoperability, structured data, compliance automation, and cross-border transaction modernization. Financial institutions are implementing ISO 20022 to improve payment processing efficiency, AML compliance, fraud detection, regulatory reporting, data quality, customer experience, straight-through processing (STP), and operational resilience.
