Introduction

The Mining Entrepreneurship Training Course is designed to equip aspiring and established entrepreneurs with the skills to innovate, invest, and scale within the global mining and mineral value chain. In an era defined by resource nationalism, ESG compliance, energy transition minerals, digital transformation, and sustainable extraction, mining has evolved into a high-tech, capital-intensive, and opportunity-rich sector. This course integrates mining innovation, venture creation, mineral economics, smart mining technologies, and green mining practices to empower participants to build competitive mining ventures that are both profitable and sustainable.

With increasing demand for critical minerals (lithium, cobalt, rare earths, copper, gold beneficiation, and battery materials), the mining sector presents significant entrepreneurial opportunities across exploration, extraction, processing, logistics, and downstream beneficiation. This programme blends AI in mining, ESG frameworks, commodity trading insights, artisanal and small-scale mining (ASM) formalisation, and mining finance strategies to develop future-ready mining entrepreneurs. Participants will learn how to identify viable mineral opportunities, structure mining ventures, secure funding, and implement scalable and compliant operations aligned with global best practices.
