Introduction

The mining industry is rapidly transforming through Gender-Responsive Occupational Safety, Inclusive Workplace Health Programs, and Sustainable Mining Practices that prioritize the wellbeing of women workers. Women in mining face unique occupational hazards including ergonomic risks, chemical exposure, gender-based violence, mental health challenges, and inadequate access to properly designed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Occupational Safety for Women in Mining Training Course is designed to strengthen workforce resilience, improve compliance with international safety standards, and promote a culture of Zero Harm, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), and Psychological Safety across mining operations. The course integrates modern industry practices aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) frameworks, ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems, and global mining safety regulations.

This comprehensive training program equips participants with practical competencies in risk assessment, hazard identification, incident prevention, emergency preparedness, and women-centered workplace safety strategies. Participants will gain insights into emerging mining trends such as digital safety monitoring, AI-driven risk management, fatigue management systems, workplace wellness, and safety leadership for women in extractive industries. Through real-world case studies, simulations, interactive workshops, and field-based learning, the course empowers mining professionals to create safer, healthier, and more inclusive mining environments while enhancing operational productivity and workforce sustainability
