Introduction

In today’s fast-evolving governance landscape, the ability to transform research evidence into actionable policy is a critical driver of sustainable development, institutional accountability, and evidence-based decision-making. Research Translation into Policy Training Course is designed to bridge the persistent gap between academic research, policy formulation, and implementation impact. It equips participants with cutting-edge competencies in policy brief development, stakeholder engagement, knowledge translation, and evidence synthesis, ensuring that research outputs do not remain in academic silos but directly inform real-world governance, public health systems, climate action strategies, and socio-economic reforms.

This course integrates modern approaches such as data-driven policymaking, impact evaluation frameworks, implementation science, and strategic communication for policy influence. Participants will learn how to navigate complex policy ecosystems, translate scientific findings into compelling narratives, and engage decision-makers effectively.
