Introduction

Labour organizations operate in an increasingly complex environment shaped by evolving labour laws, industrial relations dynamics, workplace safety expectations, digital transformation, and socio-economic pressures. Effective risk management for labour unions, trade unions, and worker associations is now a critical competency for ensuring organizational resilience, member protection, and sustainable advocacy. Risk Management for Labour Organizations Training Course is designed to strengthen the capacity of labour leaders, union officials, and workplace representatives to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks that may affect operations, membership trust, legal compliance, and collective bargaining effectiveness.

The course integrates modern enterprise risk management (ERM), occupational health and safety (OHS), compliance risk frameworks, stakeholder engagement strategies, and crisis management techniques tailored specifically for labour organizations. Participants will gain practical tools to manage industrial disputes, reputational risks, financial vulnerabilities, cyber threats, governance challenges, and political interference. With a strong emphasis on real-world case studies and scenario-based learning, the program equips participants to build proactive risk cultures and strengthen institutional sustainability in the labour movement.
