Traffic Management & Road Safety

Road Safety Knowledge Translation - From Research to Policy Training Course

Introduction

Road safety is a critical global concern, with road traffic injuries ranking among the leading causes of death worldwide. Despite decades of research on effective interventions, the gap between evidence and policy implementation remains significant. Translating robust scientific research into actionable policies is essential to reduce traffic fatalities, improve emergency response systems, and foster a culture of safe road use. Road Safety Knowledge Translation - From Research to Policy Training Course equips professionals with the skills, tools, and strategies needed to bridge the gap between research findings and practical policy development.

Leveraging cutting-edge knowledge translation frameworks, this course emphasizes evidence-based decision-making, multi-sectoral collaboration, and stakeholder engagement. Participants will gain hands-on experience in interpreting complex road safety data, developing policy briefs, and designing advocacy campaigns that influence legislation and enforcement. By the end of this training, attendees will be capable of transforming research insights into actionable road safety interventions, ultimately contributing to sustainable, measurable reductions in traffic injuries and fatalities.
