Introduction

The mining industry is undergoing rapid transformation driven by ESG compliance, stakeholder activism, sustainability governance, climate accountability, Indigenous engagement, social impact management, human rights due diligence, and responsible mining practices. A strong Social License to Operate (SLO) has become a critical success factor for mining companies seeking operational continuity, investment security, community trust, regulatory compliance, and long-term profitability. Organizations that fail to secure community acceptance face operational disruptions, reputational damage, legal disputes, protests, environmental liabilities, and project delays. Social License to Operate (SLO) in Mining Training Course equips professionals with practical tools, global frameworks, and innovative engagement strategies to build resilient relationships between mining companies, governments, investors, NGOs, Indigenous groups, and host communities.

This comprehensive course focuses on modern approaches to community engagement, ESG risk management, stakeholder mapping, conflict resolution, sustainability reporting, social performance management, environmental justice, climate risk communication, corporate social responsibility (CSR), shared value creation, and sustainable development goals (SDGs) within the mining sector. Participants will gain actionable insights through real-world case studies, scenario-based learning, digital stakeholder engagement techniques, and internationally recognized best practices to strengthen operational resilience and secure a sustainable Social License to Operate in highly complex and sensitive mining environments.
