Introduction

Sustainability Metrics in Projects Training Course is designed to equip project managers, sustainability officers, development practitioners, and organizational leaders with the knowledge and practical skills required to measure, manage, and optimize sustainability performance across the project life cycle. As organizations face increasing pressure to align projects with ESG standards, SDGs, climate commitments, and stakeholder expectations, this course emphasizes data-driven decision-making using globally recognized sustainability metrics and indicators. Participants will gain a strong foundation in integrating environmental, social, and economic metrics into project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting, ensuring projects deliver long-term value while minimizing negative impacts.

The course adopts a practical, results-oriented approach that blends sustainability frameworks, quantitative metrics, and real-world project applications. Learners will explore tools such as ESG scorecards, carbon accounting metrics, social impact indicators, and sustainability dashboards to track performance and inform strategic decisions. Through hands-on exercises and case studies across infrastructure, development, energy, technology, and social projects, participants will develop the capability to design measurable sustainability outcomes, comply with regulatory and donor requirements, and enhance organizational reputation and resilience through sustainable project delivery.
