Introduction

Energy and resource security are central to national stability, economic competitiveness, and international relations. In a world of complex supply chains, geopolitical tensions, and rapidly evolving energy technologies, the ability to understand and navigate the geopolitics of energy is critical for policymakers, corporate strategists, and security analysts. The Geopolitics of Energy and Resource Security Training Course provides a comprehensive exploration of global energy markets, critical natural resources, strategic chokepoints, and the political, economic, and environmental factors influencing resource access and control. Participants will examine the interconnections between fossil fuels, renewables, minerals, and water, as well as the geopolitical drivers shaping resource-dependent industries and national security strategies.

The course emphasizes the integration of analytical tools, risk assessment frameworks, and policy evaluation techniques to address challenges in energy and resource security. Participants will gain insights into energy diplomacy, global supply chain vulnerabilities, emerging technologies, and sustainable resource management. By combining case studies, scenario analyses, and practical exercises, the training equips professionals with actionable knowledge to anticipate, mitigate, and respond to geopolitical risks, while enhancing strategic decision-making in both public and private sectors.
