Introduction

Post-conflict return remains one of the most complex challenges in peacebuilding, humanitarian response, and sustainable development. When communities are displaced due to war, political instability, or ethnic violence, the process of returning home is influenced by multiple political, social, and economic factors. The Politics of Post-Conflict Return Training Course provides participants with in-depth knowledge, analytical frameworks, and practical skills to address the politics of return, ensuring displaced populations can reintegrate in ways that support reconciliation, security, and long-term stability.

The course uses current case studies, policy debates, and real-world scenarios to examine the relationship between governance, humanitarian policy, and transitional justice. By engaging in critical discussions and hands-on learning, participants will understand how power dynamics, local politics, and international interventions shape the success or failure of return programs. Through interactive modules, the training equips learners with evidence-based strategies for conflict-sensitive approaches and sustainable reintegration.
