Training Course on Climate Change Impact Assessment on Agricultural Production

Introduction

Climate change is rapidly altering the landscape of global agriculture. Rising temperatures, erratic rainfall patterns, extreme weather events, and shifting agro-ecological zones have introduced new risks and uncertainties into agricultural production systems. Training Course on Climate Change Impact Assessment on Agricultural Production a cutting-edge, science-based understanding of how climate change impacts crops, livestock, soil health, and water availability, while equipping participants with practical tools and methodologies for impact assessment. The program emphasizes data-driven climate modeling, remote sensing applications, and integrated approaches to climate-smart agriculture, tailored to both smallholder and commercial farming contexts.

Designed for professionals and stakeholders across the agricultural and environmental sectors, this course empowers participants to evaluate climate-induced risks, develop adaptive strategies, and support policy formulation. Through interactive modules, real-world case studies, and evidence-based tools, learners will gain the competencies needed to strengthen food security and resilience in agricultural value chains. By the end of the training, participants will be prepared to lead impactful assessments and design mitigation and adaptation strategies that align with sustainability goals and climate action priorities.
