Introduction

Effective disease vector management in crop systems is a critical aspect of modern agricultural sustainability, food security, and climate-smart farming. With the increased frequency of pest outbreaks due to climate variability, evolving agricultural practices, and global trade, there is a growing need for advanced strategies to manage insect vectors, pathogens, and other biological threats. Training Course on Disease Vector Management in Crop Systems equips stakeholders with practical and evidence-based tools to monitor, prevent, and manage disease vectors using integrated pest management (IPM), biological control, precision agriculture, and eco-friendly technologies.

This course targets the optimization of crop health, enhancement of agro-ecosystem resilience, and improvement of yield quality through sustainable disease vector strategies. Participants will gain deep insights into vector-pathogen-host dynamics, understand emerging threats, and learn how to implement data-driven decision-making in field conditions. The training combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on case studies, making it ideal for researchers, agronomists, extension officers, and policy makers aiming to safeguard agricultural productivity and environmental health.
