Introduction

The production of high-quality seedlings is a critical pillar in sustainable agriculture, climate-smart farming, and agribusiness development. Effective nursery management enhances crop productivity, ensures disease-free planting material, and accelerates the adoption of improved crop varieties. With increasing demand for resilient and high-yielding crops, proper nursery techniques are becoming essential for farmers, agripreneurs, and agricultural extension officers alike. Training Course on Nursery Management for Quality Seedlings is designed to empower stakeholders with actionable skills, knowledge, and innovative tools for propagation, soil preparation, irrigation, pest control, and nursery business models.

This hands-on training integrates real-life case studies, best practices, and interactive learning to equip participants with techniques in seed selection, propagation media, disease control, and sustainable seedling production systems. By the end of this training, learners will be competent in implementing and managing nurseries that meet commercial and ecological demands. The course also focuses on the integration of digital tools, organic techniques, and climate-smart innovations to promote high-quality nursery systems.
