Introduction

Using GIS in Microfinance Market Mapping Training Course provides participants with practical skills to leverage Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for market analysis, branch and agent network planning, and client segmentation. GIS enables microfinance institutions, digital finance providers, and NGOs to visualize spatial patterns of financial inclusion, identify underserved areas, and make data-driven expansion decisions. This course equips participants to translate spatial data into actionable insights for strategic growth and efficient resource allocation.

Through hands-on exercises, real-world case studies, and guided mapping projects, participants learn to collect, process, and analyze geospatial data for market research. The course covers the integration of GIS with financial, demographic, and socio-economic data to support market entry strategies, branch placement, agent deployment, and targeted financial products for underserved populations.
